The Sunderland Group began their insurance practice in 1968 and have since created lifelong partnerships with clients and businesses nationwide. We currently support advisors in the financial planning and risk protection business. Our specialty is bringing simple, executable guidance to advisors looking to provide clients valuable attributes to their portfolios.

Annuities and Investments: We serve advisors with experienced support from product selection to case management. Our fully integrated wealth platform includes a Registered Investment Advisor and Broker Dealer. Retirement with us is designed to protect your assets and produce consistent cash flow.

Life Insurance and Disability: Our life insurance track record began when our founder Dave Sunderland was the first agent at LifeUSA, Allianz’s first FMO. Since then, we partnered with Simplicity Group to form the most advanced platform for Life Insurance business in the industry.

Health and Long Term Care Planning: Our Fargo office is home to Simplicity Group’s Medicare division. We provide retail and wholesale channels for our guidance.

Marketing and Business Solutions: Sunderland Group’s internal marketing associates provide advisors with media and branding to elevate their businesses locally and beyond.

Dylan Sunderland

My career began in college as an intern for my family’s business which had just joined the Simplicity Group Partnership. Thanks to my calm and consistent approach, I became a Partner at Simplicity Group in March 2025. I trust deep-rooted relationships and fallibilism to lead my business.

My expertise: I’ve worked with retirees across the country, helping them design a more comfortable retirement. I help your clients achieve their desired freedoms.

My resume: I’ve served many roles at Simplicity, new business processing, retail advising, wholesale recruiting, training and compliance, client servicing, and accounting. This entrepreneurial role has been a modified MBA program and has created my industry perspective. My present focus is identifying wealth

My support: I perform business with professionals looking to serve purposefully in their family and community. I consult financial advisors and insurance agents in all 50 states with targeted concentration in North Dakota, Arizona, and South Carolina.
